1. Who we are
Vikman Technologies is an authorized channel partner supplying ophthalmic products to eye surgeons, hospitals and clinics. Our registered office is 10-C, Malviya Complex, Madan Mohan Malviya Road, Amritsar, Punjab 143001, India.
Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023 we are the Data Fiduciary for the personal data described below. That means we decide why it is collected and what happens to it, and we are answerable for it.
2. What we collect
Only what you type into the enquiry form on our contact page. Nothing else. There is no account to create, no newsletter, and no profiling.
- Title or designation (Dr, Mr, Ms and so on) — optional
- Your name
- Hospital, clinic or organisation — optional
- City — optional
- Email address
- Phone number
- The product or brand you are asking about — optional
- Your message
Please do not put patient details into the message box. We have no need for them and this form is not a secure channel for clinical information.
3. Why we collect it
To answer your enquiry: to quote, to check availability, to advise on sizing or specification, and to arrange supply. We do not use it for marketing, we do not add you to a mailing list, and we do not sell or rent it to anyone.
4. Your consent, and how to withdraw it
You give consent by ticking the box before you send the form. It is not pre-ticked and the form will not submit without it.
You can withdraw consent at any time by emailing vikman.tech@gmail.com. We will delete your details and confirm when it is done. Withdrawing consent does not undo anything already done with it before you asked — for example, an email already sent in reply.
5. Who else sees it
Two companies handle your data because they run parts of this website. Neither is permitted to use it for their own purposes.
- Netlify, Inc. hosts this website and receives every enquiry first. The form posts to Netlify Forms, which stores the submission and emails it to us. Netlify is a United States company and stores the data on servers outside India.
- Google LLC, because our company email is Gmail, so your enquiry arrives and is read there.
We do not pass your enquiry to the manufacturers we represent unless answering it requires that — for example, a technical question only the manufacturer can settle, or an order that must be placed with them. If that is needed we will tell you.
6. How long we keep it
Twenty-four months from our last contact with you, after which it is deleted. If an enquiry becomes an order, the records required for tax and medical device traceability are kept for as long as the law requires, which is longer.
7. Your rights
Under the DPDP Act you may ask us to:
- tell you what personal data of yours we hold, and what we have done with it;
- correct anything inaccurate, or complete anything missing;
- erase it, where we are not required to keep it;
- nominate someone to exercise these rights for you if you die or become incapacitated.
Email the address in section 9 for any of these. We will not charge you and we will not ask why.
8. Cookies and third-party content
This site sets no cookies of its own and stores nothing in your browser. There is no analytics, no advertising pixel and no tracking of any kind. We cannot tell who you are unless you send the form.
Three third parties do receive your IP address, because your browser fetches files from them to display our pages:
- Google Fonts — the two typefaces, on every page.
- jsDelivr — the Bootstrap stylesheet and script, on every page.
- Google Maps — the map on the contact page only. This one is different from the other two: an embedded map sets Google's own cookies in your browser when the contact page loads. If you would rather it did not, block third-party cookies for this site or avoid the contact page; the rest of the site does not load it.
The search boxes on the Partners, Products and Brochures pages run entirely inside your browser. What you type is put in the address bar so the page can be bookmarked or shared, but it is never sent to us or to anyone else.
9. Questions and complaints
Our grievance contact is Vikas Vohra:
- Email: vikman.tech@gmail.com
- Phone: +91 97790 09112
- Post: the registered office address in section 1
If you are not satisfied with how we have handled your complaint, you may take it to the Data Protection Board of India.
10. Changes
If this policy changes we will update it here and change the date at the top. Material changes to what we do with data already collected will be told to you directly rather than left for you to notice.
This policy describes how the website behaves and is written in plain English rather than copied from a template. It is not legal advice, and it has not been reviewed by a lawyer qualified in Indian data protection law.
